Pocosin Arts Folk School offers Nature Drawing Classes taught by Hilary Anderson in partnership with Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge.  Students will explore the great diversity of plants and wildlife visible from the boardwalk along the Scuppernong River.  Students will learn about native plants and animals and develop skills in observation and drawing in charcoal, colored pencil, and pastel, and and/or watercolor.  The class will meet at 3:30 pm and end at 5:00 pm outside the Walter B. Jones Sr. Center for the Sounds on Wednesdays.  The first session includes May 13th, 20th, 27th, and June 3rd.   Tuition for one session (four classes) is $30 and includes materials.  The class is open to students age 6 and up.  Call or stop in the gallery by Tuesday, May 12th to register for the first session. 252-796-2787
