The writing will be critiqued and revised and read in a public reading later that evening in River Walk Gallery and Arts Center, and be displayed as part of the exhibit.<br />&nbsp;<br />Mitchell is the author of two volumes of poetry, The Near Surround (Four Way Books, 2002) and Grief Hut, (Cervena Barva Press, 2009.) She teaches in the English Department at Salisbury University, Maryland, and lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, with her husband John Ebert, a filmmaker.<br /><br />The workshop will begin at 1:00PM and end at 3:00PM, and the reading will begin at 7:00 p.m. in River Walk Gallery and Arts Center, 139 W. Main, Washington. Participants for the workshop are limited to eight, and the cost of workshop is 25.00. He works in a  variety of media including metals, wood, paint, and photography.<br /><br />A  resident of Tyrrell County , His  formal education began at Atlantic Christian College (Barton) in Wilson  and culminated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from East Carolina  University.<br /><br />After graduation, he settled in Columbia and began  his career as an artist painting views of the Scuppernong River as well  as portraits of local citizens. The Atlantic Flyway provided magnificent  waterfowl inspirations for paintings. Captivated by hunting lore, he  began to create vintage styled decoys that drew clients nationally  including Ducks Unlimited. His work was featured on the cover of the  Green Wings catalog.
