About 2nd Saturdays :
Space is still available for artists from the Inner Banks to exhibit and sale art work this summer as part of the Department of Cultural Resources 2nd Saturdays: History, Heritage, Arts & Fun program scheduled at state historic sites and museums across the state on June 12, July 10 and August 14.
The event provides an opportunity for our artists to showcase their art work to residents and visitors to the state, and make connections to a larger cultural community. Events are scheduled at more than 30 sites.
Just like the IBXarts Fest, there is no cost to participate although artists are responsible for their own display materials, including tents. Artists retain 100 percent of their sales at most sites.
Artists spaces are available in June, July and August at most sites and the deadline for the June 12 event has been extended until April 30.
Each site has developed programs for the public with a different theme reflective of the history even though artists who participate may include any medium.
The registration form and more information is available HERE
